In a bid to give boost to the Save Energy campaign, Uttarakhand Government is going to replace consumers’ normal bulb with lED bulb on Monday. This was disclosed by the UPCl (Uttarakhand Power Corporation limited) spokesperson Madhusudan Isser on Sunday.
UPCl Managing Director SS Yadan and Parliamentary Secretary Rajkumar will distribute lED bulb on Monday 10.30 am at 18 EC road. Interestingly chief minister Harish Rawat had formally distributed lED bulb among consumers on the occasion of 16th state foundation day or November 9, 2015. Isser appealed to the consumers to collect lED bulb at EC Road on Monday. Under this project consumers can procure three lED bulbs on easy monthly installment (EMI). Besides, consumers can procure maximum 10 lED bulbs by paying Rs 100 per bulb to UPCl. It means three bulb at EMI and remaining seven bulb @ Rs 100 per unit. Company is giving three years long guarantee as well.
Domestic BPl consumers would get three bulb @ Rs 27.50 per unit and will have to pay Rs 2.50 per unit at the time of receiving and remaining Rs 25 they will pay in five EMI i.e. Rs five per two month. Domestic consumer who consumes upto 100 units electricity, can procure three bulb Rs 82.50 per unit and will have to pay Rs 7.5 per unit at the time of procurement and remaining Rs 75 they will pay in five EMI i.e. Rs 15 per two months. Consumers, who consume more than 100 unit electricity monthly, can procure Rs 105 per unit and will have to pay Rs 10 at the time of procurement and will have to pay Rs 20 per two months.
For the procurement of lED Bulb consumers will have to bring photo identity card, electricity bill and address proof as well. These bulbs will be distributed through union government’s identified institution energy efficiency service.
