Chief Minister Harish Rawat inaugurated the newly-constructed Uttarakhand resident commissioner’s integrated building in Delhi on Sunday.
Amid the presence of the State MP and MlAs, the building, which is spread over an area of 500 square metres and constructed at the cost of `11 crore, was dedicated to the public by the CM. The building would be one of the major achievements of the Uttarakhand Govt.
The resident commissioner, investment commissioner, State Information Centre, Uttarakhand treasury offices and others have been brought under one roof in this building. This building would be of much help to the Uttarakhand residents. This building would prove a milestone in future because all necessary departmental representatives would be present there. CM asked the officials to present Uttarakhand’s positive image and culture through their work. "You should work in the interest of Uttarakhand’s people and the state. You should put all the required things together so that this building can be known for encompassing the entire state's culture within it," said Rawat.
Chief secretary Rakesh Sharma, who was also present there, said that to speed up the work here, the State would provide online facility to all the departments working in the building.
Chief resident commissioner Omprakash has expressed gratitude towards CM for this initiative. Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Singh Mahra, CM’s industrial adviser Ranjit Singh Rawat, ex-MP Pradeep Tamta, investment commissioner SD Sharma, Youth Welfare ministry secretary Rajiv Gupta and joint secretary Medical Health and Family Welfare Ministry Rakesh Kumar were also among those present on the occasion.
