Collector and District Election Officer Alex Paul Menon has suspended Chief Executive Officer of Ramchandrapur Janpad Panchayat and Executive Engineer of Water Resources Department, Balrampur, for not carrying out responsibilities assigned to them for Panchayat general election 2015.According to officials, the CEO of Ramchandrapur Janpad Panchayat Bhanwar Singh Rathore was appointed as Assistant Returning Officer of Ramchandrapur Janpad Panchayat.
However, Rathore did not show interest in hisduties and failed to complete printing of ballot papers and transportation of polling parties to respective polling centers in time. His conduct was found against the rules and therefore he was suspended. Rathore has been attached with district election office Balrampur during suspension period.Similarly Executive Engineer of Water Resources Department Vijay Kumar Jamnik was appointed as officer in-charge for printing of ballot papers.
He was directed to report at district election office Balrampur by 11 am on January 12. However, Jamnik did not turn up at the district election office on the given time. He had neither given any prior information about leaving the headquarters nor sought permission from the higher authorities despite restrictions laid by the Collector with enforcement of model code of conduct.
