Two Naxals were arrested during a search operation carried in the limits of Awapalli police station of the insurgency hit Bijapur district, police said on Friday. They were arrested by a joint contingent of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) during a search operation in the jungles of Purugudu in the limits of Awapalli police station. The arrested left wing insurgents were involved in triggering a blast in Murdunda on January 21 wherein two CRPF jawans were injured, police sources said adding they were lower member of the Naxal cadre.
