Two miscreants involved in sexually assaulting a 40-year-old married woman at laukhedi under Gandhi Nagar police station area on September 27, were arrested by police on Tuesday.
SHO of Gandhi Nagar police Jitendra Patel said that the accused involved in sexually assaulting the victim have been nabbed. The two were identified as Mahesh Mali (21) and Bharat alias Chingu Kushwaha (19).
He confirmed that the victim was not gang raped and she had identified Bharat alias Chingu Kushwaha as the main accused while Mahesh Mali was accomplice in the crime, he added.
Victim has claimed that the two were involved in the sexual assault case. The accused are neighbourers of the victim and unaware of the evil she allowed the two to enter and was later became the victim of sexual assault.
The crime record of the two has been searched and it was found that the two were not involved in many criminal activities.
Miscreants work as labour and the victim has claimed that the miscreants were waiting for the right opportunity and on Sunday when she was alone the miscreants committed the sin.
Police said that the victim was acquainted with the accused and on Sunday during the Ganesha idol immersion procession when her family members have gone for the procession the two entered the house and sexually assaulted the victim.
The victim works as domestic help while her husband works with private college in Bairagarh. The police have registered a case under section 456, 367,376 (D), 506 and section 3(1) (2) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities Act).
