The Commissionerate police on Friday filed a written petition at the District and Sessions Judge Court here seeking permission of the court to take the accused of Bharatpur triple murder case on a five-day remand.Key accused in the case Shiva Prasad Panda alias Bhabani, who had brutally killed his granny and a couple staying in front of his granny’s house at lane 4 in Bharatpur area on the outskirts of the city, was arrested by the police from Kantia area under the Jatni police limits in Khordha district on Thursday.
After getting the accused on remand, sources said, the police would take him to the crime spot to recreate the sequence of events leading to the crime he had executed on January 27. Besides other aspects of the crime, the police would also try to trace the weapon he had used to kill the three and the blood stained dress of the accused to make their case stronger in the court.
