Roopesh Kumar, a student residing in Bhilai Steel Plant’s (BSP) Tribal Hostel at Iron Ore Complex (IOC), Rajhara has secured 93.5% in Hindi medium. This is the highest marks secured by any student of Hindi medium schools affiliated to Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) that are run by Bhilai Steel Plant, a BSP Press release issued here on Wednesday stated.
Roopesh Kumar who secured a distinction in Class 10th exams of the Board with 93.5 per cent marks hails from village Armurkasa in Dondi Block of Balod district. Son of a farmer, Roopesh studies in Primary School in Kusumkasa upto Class 5 after which he was selected by BSP in 2010 for admission in Class VI at BSP — HSS No.2, Rajhara. Roopesh’s hostel is run by Corporate Social Responsibility Section of BSP’s Iron Ore Complex at Dalli-Rajhara.
Roopesh has been very keen in studies and has been securing 1st or 2nd position in class from Class VI onwards. School principal, PK Nashine would also encourage and appreciate the boy. RK Hedaoo, Assistant Manager, CSR and I/c of the Hostel and Wardens of the hostel have also encouraged the boy to achieve the success in studies. As such, all the hostel mates and hostel administration members feel delighted about his success.
It is worth mentioning that all the students of Tribal Hostel Rajhara have cleared Class 10th exams with 100 per cent success. Out of total 19 students who appeared in Class 10, as many as 14 students secured first division. Four Students passed in second Division while one student passed in 3rd Division.
