A 15-day orientation programme on Non-Visual Desktop Access (NVDA) Odia Tool held at the Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for Handicapped (VRCH) here concluded on Wednesday.
The programme, jointly organised by the Directorate for Welfare of PWD’s, Employment Mission, Institute of Social Work & Research and VRCH in collaboration with the National Association for the Blind, Delhi.
SVNIRTAR Director Dr RN Mohanty joined the valedictory event as the chief guest and distributed certificates among successful participants. VRCH Assistant Director Ram Kishore Sharma presented welcome address while psychologist P Mondal proposed vote of thanks.
Students and teachers suggested for bringing further improvements in the NVDA Odia Tool in terms of pronunciation by involving technical experts in Odia language. ISWAR general secretary Sanyas Behera presided over the function.
