Three miscreants were nabbed by crime branch police and recovered one country made pistol and 12 live cartridges and gold and silver jewellery worth lakhs of rupees.
Acting on a tip of a youth was nabbed from Pul Bogda are and when he was searched a country made pistol was recovered from his possession.
The accused was identified as Afroz who used to commit crimes along with his two accomplices who were nabbed later. The three were identified as Afroz Khan (25) of Aishbagh, Almas alias Salman(23) of Aishbagh and Rahim Khan(20) of Gautam Nagar.
Afroz was booked for attempt to murder by Shahjehanbad police while Salam and Rahim have been booked under section 25 of the Arms Act.
Nabbed accused confirmed that the houses of colonies located in remote areas from the city were targeted. Panchavati colony and Bagh Sewania areas were targeted by miscreants. They confessed around half a dozen burglaries which would be investigated.
On November 12 the three targeted house of Assistant District Excise Officer Ramgopal Bhadoria at Abhinav Homes in Ayodhya Nagar and burgled his licensee revolver, 40 cartridges and silver coins and silver.
During the investigation the Afroz confessed the burglary at Bhadoria's house and told the police that he kept revolver with him along with some jewelry and distributed the remaining jewelry to Salman and Rahim.
The main accused Afroz said that he used to deal in property but was not able to earn good and decided to make a gang to commit crimes and with the help of Salman and Rahim he made a gang and committed burglary on November 12.
