Asif Jahan, wife of Nawab Miyan (Bombay Stores) and mother of Reliable Group Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Sikandar Hafiz Khan, passed away here on Wednesday after prolonged illness. Asif Jahan, 85, had been suffering from bad health for a long time. She is survived by two sons and three daughters.
The last journey of Asif Jahan would start from her residence Junagarh House in Koh-e-Fiza at 9.30 am on Thursday and her last prayers would be held at 10 am at Taj-ul-Masajid and after that her body would be buried at the royal graveyard located near Model Ground.
Public Relations, Energy, New & Renewable Energy and Mineral Resources Development Minister Rajendra Shukla has expressed profound grief over the death of Asif Jahan, mother of the founder-chairman of the Bhopal edition of the English daily, 'The Pioneer', and Reliable Group chairman Sikandar Hafiz Khan. Shukla said that the late Asif Jahan was a pious, amicable person and a social worker.
The Minister prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear the loss.
