Temperature to dip further, says Met Dept

With the advent of the New Year temperature would dip, making the weather conditions cold in the State, said Met officials.

In the past 3- 4 days the cold conditions have not been witnessed and would again reach again at the level of 6-7 degree Celsius after December 31. Rewa recorded the lowest night temperature at 6 degree Celsius.

After the increased day temperatures night temperatures have been witnessed at above normal temperatures. City recorded day temperature at 30.8 degree Celsius which was 6 degree Celsius above the normal temperature while the night temperature was recorded at 12.9 degree Celsius which was 3 degree Celsius above normal temperature.

Among the major cities Indore recorded day temperature at 33 degree Celsius which was 7 degree Celsius above the normal temperature while the night temperature was recorded at 13.8 degree Celsius which was 4 degree Celsius above the normal temperature. 

The western disturbance over Jammu Kashmir and Pakistan has obstructed the cold winds which has raised the temperatures in the past 3-4 days. In the morning haze was witnessed which reduced the visibility to around 2.5 km.

Met department has issued warning of fog in Chambal division, Gwalior, Datia, Tikamgarh and Chhatarpur districts in the next 24 hours.  In the span of five days the day temperature the day temperature in the city raised from 23.1 degree Celsius to 30.8 degree Celsius.

The day and night temperature would remain around 30 degree Celsius and 11 degree Celsius in the next 24 hours and the weather conditions would remain

 dry.
