Day temperatures reeling around 30 degree Celsius for the past 3-4 days, dipped below 25 degree Celsius on Sunday and more decrease in the temperatures would be witnessed after the clearing of the cloud cover in the next two days.
Cloud cover remained throughout the day making the weather conditions cold. The cloud cover would remain for the next 2-3 days and would induce rainfall at isolated places.
A cyclonic system over western and northern parts of the state and moisture incursion from Arabian Sea has induced cloud cover.
Met department officials said that the temperatures would witness slight increase and later after the cloud cover would clear significant change in the temperatures would be witnessed.
City recorded day temperature at 25.7 degree Celsius while the night temperature was 17.4 degree Celsius. The night temperatures across the State have been witnessed above the normal temperature. City recorded night temperature 4 degree Celsius above the normal temperature.
Weather conditions would remain same for the next two days. A system over south west MP adjoining Vidharbha has brought the changes which would remain the same for the next 3-4 days.
Among the major cities the Indore recorded day temperature 5 degree Celsius below the normal temperature at 23.5 degree, Gwalior recorded day temperature at 24.1 degree which was 2 notches below the normal temperature while the night temperature was recorded at 12 degree Celsius which was 3 degree Celsius above the normal temperature.
Gwalior and Sheopur were the coldest place on Friday and recorded night temperature at 12 degree Celsius.
Rewa and Sagar division, Shahdol, Umaria, Vidhisha, Raisen, Sehore, Khandwa, Khargone, Burhanpur, Bhopal, Indore, Dewas and Barwani districts would witness rainfall and thundershowers in the next 24 hours.
The day and night temperatures in the next 24 hours would be witnessed around 28 degree and 16 degree Celsius respectively.
