Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Friday said that the officers should take the problems raised by the people seriously and also try to understand their grievances. The CM also directed the officials to free the Gair Majarua (GM) land from encroachment and make a land bank asking land Reforms and Revenue Department Secretary to personally monitor the whole exercise. CM was listening to the people’s problems in ‘Sidhi Baat’ program at Soochana Bhawan on Friday.
During the programme, the CM also talked to the DCs and SPs of various districts and through video conferencing and disposed off several matters after reviewing them. Referring to the money withdrawal by principals of 34 schools for the purpose of constructing School Building without actually doing any work, the CM directed the DCs to recover the amount from them.
He also directed Dhanbad and Jamtara DC respectively to release pension to Budhia Devi under Social Security Pension and probe the matter of illegal withdrawal under MGNAREGA. Regarding construction of Panchayat Building at Gola Block, the CM ordered the DC to recover the money from the then BDO. K K Besra and also start departmental proceedings against him. RDD Principal Secretary N. N. Sinha told the CM that the officer was also accused of withdrawing Rs. Rs. 70 lakh which is under observation.
Talking about the illegal occupancy of a multi-storage building at Argora Housing Colony by the police personnel and their family members, the SSP said that due to the police presence people of the locality feel secure. Anyways, the police were being shifted to other locations, the SP added.
It was reported that people from each house hold from Kohipart Hurda village of Simdega were being taken away by the Naxals asking them to pay Rs one lakh after being harassed by the rebels. As a result, people are compelled to migrate to other villages. Responding on the issue, Simdega SP Rajiv Ranjan Singh said that the police have identified two criminals — Manuel Dengra and Sudama Singh who are creating such havoc in the area. Singh however assure that they will be arrested very soon.
