Most of the stolen goods have been recovered in a suspected burglary at Kahkashan apartments under Koh-e-Fiza police station area on Tuesday. Interestingly, the burgled goods were recovered from the residence.
Station House Officer of Koh-e-Fiza police claimed that during the investigation, most of the burgled goods claimed by the victim were recovered. The house was ransacked due to which the victim and family was not able to find them and lodged a complaint regarding burglary of valuables and cash totaling more than Rs4 lakh.
Very less amount of goods is still missing and it would be recovered during the investigation. Possibility of involvement of someone acquainted is higher in the case, he added. Police said that the circumstantial evidences suggest that some insider is involved in the burglary as the family claims that they returned in half an hour within which the burglary occurred.
Based on the complaint, police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation. Notably, the victim Irshad Hasan along with his family had gone to have dinner on Tuesday evening at a restaurant and when they returned, they found that the locks are broken and valuables are missing.
Shocked with the incident, the family lodged a complaint with the Koh-e-Fiza police and claimed that the valuables worth Rs2 lakh and Rs2 lakh cash went missing, but during the investigation most of the stolen goods and cash were recovered. The victim Irshad Hasan is a contractor. Complaint was lodged by his son Masrur Hasan.
