State to name eye bank after its youngest donor

The State Government has decided to name the proposed eye bank at the Gandhi Shatabdi eye hospital located at Dalanwala after Arjun Chawala — the youngest eye donor in State. 
Informing about the decision of State Government the Principal Secretary Health Om Prakash said that the eye bank would be first of its kind in the State. He said that the State Government has shortlisted medical officers for health checkup of the pilgrims on Amarnath Yatra route. 
 
The Government has nominated doctors posted in government hospitals for the Yatra. The medical officers include doctors from Doon hospital, district hospitals of Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, Almora, Haridwar, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Base hospital Srinagar, Haldwani, Almora, SPS Hospital Rishikesh and Sridev Suman hospital Narendranagar.
