St Paul Sr Secondary Co-Ed School, Anand Nagar, organised its annual sports mega show named — lE-UNIONE 2015, here in the school campus on Sunday.
The glittering opening ceremony commenced with the arrival of guest of honour Fr Justin Akkara CMI Vicar Provincial, St Paul CMI Province, Bhopal, special guests Surendra Badika (MIC member and Councillor Ward 64), Fr Raphael Parambeth CMI, Founding manager escorted by School Principal, Fr Sebi Edattukaran CMI, School Vice-Principal, Rony Joy and the smarty attired School Band reception.
It was followed by a prayer dance, a mix of graceful Kathak, Bharatnatyam and thrilling Western dance.
Addressing the gathering the Special Guest appealed the parents to let the children grow through participating in extracurricular activities a variety of which are pursued at St Paul School, the cradle of excellence.
School principal Fr Sebi welcomed the chief guest and other honourable guests. Fr Denny Vazhappilly CMI, School Manager; Suleena Sukumaran, Senior Section in-charge; Sr Anupama OSF, Primary Section in-charge; Sr Karuna OSF, KG Section in-charge and Hema Rathore, Section in-charge (Hindi Medium) presented the bouquet to the Special Guest and other guests of honour as a token of love.
The bevy of events for the day included 100 metre, 200 metre races and Relay by the School’s noteworthy sports persons. Interspersed among these were a mesmerizing Drill by the students of VI and VII and an extremely synchronised Aerobics display. The students’ wild cheers rent the air, the athletes, with grit and determination raced to achieve victory and glory for their respective houses. The most awaited event of the day was the Parents’ Race
Thereafter the students of 9th presented energetic and colourful Dandiya Raas. Rosy Mendonza, Assistant Primary Section in-charge was felicitated for serving the institution meticulously for 25 years, followed by Felicitation of Award Winner which included Bishop Clemens Award, Award to 10th and 12th toppers and Cash awards to outstanding Achievers throughout the year. The Special Guest released ‘Youth Vine’ which is a collection Students literary initiative.
