A 22-year-old youth died while another youth sustained serious injuries after their motorbike was hit by a speeding truck at Samardha culvert under Misrod police station area on Sunday.
According to the police, two youths were injured after their motorbike was hit by a speeding truck and escaped the spot. The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital where one of the victims was declared dead while the other injured victim sustained serious injuries and is reportedly undergoing treatment at Noble hospital.
Police were informed and on the receipt of the information a police team reached the spot and started the investigation. During the investigation the two were identified as Hitesh Vishwakarma and Dilip Vishwakarma. The deceased was identified as Hitesh Vishwakarma, who hailed from Ashta and had gone to meet his relative in Mandideep with Dilip Vishwakarma and while on their way back their bike was hit from behind by a speeding truck.
In the initial investigation police found that the truck bearing registration number MP04 HE 2767 has hit the two and escaped the spot.The search for the truck and the errant driver has been started. Police claims that the accused would be traced based on the registration number found in the investigation.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Police said that the two visited their relative for some agricultural work. Meanwhile a seven-year-old boy drowned at a well in Dhanora village under Nazirabad police station area on Sunday.
The deceased, Sumit was playing with his friends in the afternoon and was found drowned in the well by the family. The police have registered a case under section174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
