When newsmen asked that why Hazaribagh is not in the list of smart cities of future India though you are a minister at Centre, he said that don’t be sad that Hazaribagh is not in the list because there were certain criterions for selection of cities. “My wish is to make it a good city and with the help of Central and State Government and organisations active in this area I have already stepped ahead in this direction,” Jayant added.
“In Hazaribagh we already have a university, police training academy, about 300 bed hospital and many more things. Now, I am trying my best to have a medical college and an engineering college at Hazaribagh. For medical college 25 acres land has been identified near Central Jail and the process is going on rapidly,” Jayant said.
MP Jayant Sinha also informed that on his request NTPC has given consent to open an engineering college here at Hazaribagh. The top administration of NTPC has cleared the proposal and amount has been sanctioned. Soon the work will start and it can be hoped that within 3-4 years engineering college will come into existence.
When people demanded about more train facility, Jayant said that he is trying to add direct coaches for New Delhi from Hazaribagh station and hoped that the railway ministry will give positive response on his request. On this occasion, MlA Manish Jaiswal was also with him and he requested the minister to direct the bank officials to open more and more zonal offices at Hazaribagh.
