Magistrate has recorded the statement of inmates of Nari Niketan, who were allegedly sexually exploited but could not express their grievance because they are hearing and speech impaired. The authorities also took along sign language experts to comprehend what the inmates were communicating.
Experts read the victims’ sign language based on which a statement was lodged before magistrate. Entire incident was video recorded to avoid any controversy. Now police is waiting for the statement of magistrate, which was lodged under Section 164 of CrPC. Probably police will get the statement’s copy on Monday then they will take action as per the statement. On Monday police will seek permission from court to collect DNA samples of accused to match with the three-month old dead foetus recovered by the police recently.
