A motorcycle-borne youth was killed in a road accident near Beriparao, Halduchaur on the Haldwani-lalkuwan Road on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Vijay Bachkheti (24), a resident of Halduchaur, Nainital. The deceased was on his way back home when a speeding truck rammed into the motorcycle.
He died on the spot. The mishap occurred near Evergreen School, Beriparao, Halduchaur. The driver of the truck is yet to be arrested.
