Rajesh bags gold in Special Olympics World Games

Rajesh Meher from Odisha, has won gold medal for the Indian contingent in the 200 meter track event by clocking 31.03 seconds In the World Games of Special Olympics, being held at los Angeles USA. 

Rajesh has also won bronze in 400 meter race by clocking 1:11;18 seconds. Arpita Mohapatra, the coach from Odisha has reported from los Angeles that this brilliant feat of Rajesh has brought laurels for the Indian contingent at the World Summer Games.

Rajesh, a resident of Padampur in the Bargarh district, placed in the relay race team from India. Congratulating Rajesh, the Area Director of Special Olympics, Prakash K Rath has said that this unique achievement has made the nation proud and added a golden chapter to the sports history of Odisha.

This is apt to be mentioned that athletes from 177 nations are participating in this World Games, which is held once in two years, to inspire and motivate the differently able sportspersons around the world.
