Chief Minister Raghubar Das praised the all round support coming in conducting a fruitful Budget Session of Assembly. Speaking on the concluding day of about a month long session on Monday, the CM also expressed happiness over the business transacted.
“The Session saw 3rd Supplementary and the Budget for Financial Year 2015-16 getting passed in its 19 sittings. About 97 per cent of the questioned got answered. I would also like to assure here that now onwards the ‘Action Taken Report’ would not be assurance only but concrete actions would be taken onto those. We also saw just one major disruption in the session and it would raise the respect of legislature among the newly elected members and also among the common man,” said Das.
The CM went on saying that flairs came out from the Opposition while raising issues in public interest that also brought out some constructive and fruitful suggestions for larger interest of the State. “This Government is open to any suggestion as it has been elected by the people for the sake of development,” said the CM. Speaker Dinesh Oraon said that level of debate would go up in the days to come. “Often it is blamed that serious debates and discussions do not take place in the Assembly and public fund is misused here. But all the members of the Assembly have tried to correct this perception by their constructive participations,” said the Speaker in his concluding remark. He also referred to withdrawal of ‘Cut Motion’ brought by JVM Pradeep Yadav and Congress Alamgir Alam terming it unprecedented and noble step for a democracy.
Total 1325 questions were taken up during the session in which 193 got answered in the House while 252 are yet to be answered by the Departments. 850 questions this time were sent online to the Departments but only 35 Departments activated their registration for that and thus only four such questioned were replied online to the Assembly.
