The Nainital district administration has asked the PWD officials to complete road- related works on priority basis in view of the advent of the monsoon season. Reviewing the progress of roads, Deepak Rawat, District Magistrate, Nainital asked the PWD officials on Monday to expedite the pending road repairing works.
Furthermore, he asked them to take up the road projects announced by the Chief Minister on priority basis, saying the officials must submit the estimates of such projects at the earliest. At the same time, the PWD officials also told to complete the two motor bridges on the Nainital bypass for vehicular traffic before August 15. Rawat also stressed on the need to start work on the trekking route in lake city Nainital for which an amount of `3. 28 crore has been sanctioned.
