Current academic session in the State is being observed as Quality Year in school education. Keeping in view enhancement of quality in primary educations, special attention is being paid to teachers requirements etc during third and fourth phases of ‘School Chalen Ham Abhiyan’.
In view of teachers academic and other subject-wise requirements, ‘Pustakotsav’ is being held. Additional time has been given to teachers to study text-books.
Participation of all teachers in this programme is mandatory. For Pustakotsav at Sankul level, forms in prescribed proforma will be got filled up by teachers in primary and middle schools on July 22. If any teacher is on vacation on that day, his or her form will be filled up next day
Under Pustakotsav, teachers will study text-books of various subjects. All subjects like Hindi, English, maths and environment are included for primary school teachers. There would be 3 groups for middle school teachers. First group will be of maths/science, second social science and third group will be languages of which it would be mandatory to give answers in any two languages including Hindi, English, Sanskrit and Urdu. DPCs will be given CD containing 3 sets of prescribed forms in the second week of July. Any set of forms can be printed in proportion of number of teachers in district. Forms will contain answer sheet. These would be given to nodal school principals a day before competition. Nodal schools will provide forms to schools on July 20.
The state government has directed all district collectors to issue instructions at district level regarding preparations for Pustakotsav. DIET Principals have been asked to assess results of competition. As per action plan, directives will be given on July 2 to teachers of all primary and middle schools to study books.
Preparations for forms will be made from July 1 to 10 and their CDs will be received from July 16 and 17. Districts will print forms from July 18 to 20 and send them to Nodal school level on July 21. Pustakotsav will be held on July 22 and forms will be returned to nodal school level on July 23. After evaluation of forms at nodal school level from July 24 to 30, copies of candidates standing first, second and third will be sent to development block level where they would be re-evaluated till August 3.
Copies received from nodal school level will be academically evaluated by DIET/DRC from August 10 to 13. During Pustakotsav, teachers will be imparted training from August 16 to 20 on the basis of their efficiency as per subject matter-based module & evaluation, personality development and administrative points. Certificates and prizes will be given to teachers standing first, second and thirds at development block/district level on January 26, 2016.
