Punjab IAS officers' association elects its new president

Senior IAS officer Jagpal Singh Sandhu, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) was elected as President of Punjab State IAS officers’ Association for 2015-16 with a thumping majority on Friday.

He was greeted on his election by a large number of IAS officers. Chief Secretary, Sarvesh Kaushal presented a bouquet to the newly

elected president.

Viswajeet Khanna was elected as the Senior vice-president of the Association and Anirudh Tewari was elected as the vice-president.

On his election as president, Jagpal Singh Sandhu said that he will shortly announce his executive and it will be his earnest endeavour to promote the spirit of fraternity and synergise individual talent into collective all round versatility of the cadre.

Sandhu thanked the cadre for reposing absolute faith in him by giving him an opportunity to look after the organisation and its members and to revive the glorious traditions of the association.
