After inducting nearly 23 lakh new members during its mega membership drive in Punjab, the State unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would start its special training campaign for the newly-inducted members from August 1.The three-month training camp, to focus on teaching newly inducted party workers about the policies and functioning of BJP as a political party, would conclude on October 31.
State BJP chief Kamal Sharma has appointed party’s state secretary Subhash Sharma as state convener of the training program. “To ensure the success of this programme, senior party leader from Bathinda advocate Mohan lal Garg has been made state co-convener,” said Kamal Sharma.Besides, the State BJP has also appointed three zonal conveners — Satish Mahajan from Pathankot for Majha, Ravinder Dhillon Ginni from Patiala for Malwa and DP Chandan from Ferozepur for Doaba zone.
Campaign convener Subhash Sharma said that the aim of this programme is to provide training for newly inducted members at block and district level as well.“The training would include organising special camps in which a complete knowledge about the BJP, its polices, and the achievements of Narendra Modi Government would be provided to the party workers,” he said. A special seminar at the national level is underway, from June 30 to July 2, in the national capital about chalking out strategy for this programme.
