Power demand touches record 10K MW

Peak hour demand has been registered over 10,000 MW for last three days in Madhya Pradesh. A new record to meeting peak hour demand of 10,112 MW power was achieved in the State on November 28.

Earlier, peak hour demand of 10,089 MW was registered on November 27 and 10,003 MW on November 26. The demand was met successfully on all three days. Energy Minister Rajendra Shukla has congratulated engineers and workers of Power Company for this achievement.

As many as 21.27 crore units of power were supplied on November 28, 21.55 crore units on November 27 and 21.50 crore units were supplied on November 26. Compared to last year, peak hour demand on November 26, 27 and 28 has increased by 500 to 614 MW. This year 147.35 lakh, 150.37 lakh units and 117.97 lakh more units were supplied, respectively.
