The police in Palamu’s Panki recovered an illegal weapon inside a bus on Wednesday. The bus was on its way from Panki to Daltonganj. IPS probationer-cum-OC, Panki police station, Prashant Raj Anand has confirmed the recovery of the arm from the bus. He said, the weapon was kept in a polythene bag in the bus.
A tip off was received to the Panki police regarding the weapon being smuggled by the bus when the police raided it and checked it. Police added that the matter is under investigation.
