In a major success, city police here on Friday unearthed a sex racket from Veena Nagar locality of the city and arrested 11 persons including three women from a house.

Heera Nagar police after confirming information about immoral activities continuing in a rented accommodation in Veena Nagar, raided the house and found many pairs in a compromising situations. Seeing police jawans, they tried to escape from the house but were later arrested by the police. Among those arrested also include kingpins of the sex racket who included a male and female.

Heera Nagar police TI Shashikant Chourasia informed that police had received a tip off about immoral activities in a rented house in Veena Nagar with people making a frequent visit to the house, police jawans were deputed outside the incident site in plain clothes and after verifying the information, a police team on Friday raided the house and found many people in the age-group of 20-75 years lying in a compromising positions with females. Among those arrested include two women from Khargone and Gorakhpur (UP) and eight persons from Indore.

According to police, the house where the sex racket was running had been taken on rent by one Mohit, a resident of Ambe Nagar and Manu Bai, a resident of Subhash Nagar. Police said all the women who have been arrested are native of Gorakhpur.

Police suspect that one of the kingpins of the racket Mohit as a native of Gorakhpur as the ID provided by him to the police appeared to be suspicious. Meanwhile, police are scouting the call details of both Mohit and Manubai to ascertain involvement of other persons in the sex racket.
