Police arrest five for stealing vehicles

Five miscreants involved in stealing vehicles posted on Olx shopping site by producing duplicate keys on the pretext of trial have been nabbed. The police have recovered 17 vehicles worth Rs5 lakh from their possession, said SSP Bhopal Raman Singh Sikarwar while speaking with media persons here on  Sunday.

Six four wheelers and 11 two wheelers have been recovered from their possession. Tila Jamalpura police acted after receiving information of a person with motorbike which was not having registration number and when the miscreant was nabbed and questioned, he confessed that the motorbike was a stolen one.

They work in the form of a gang which is headed by Guddu alias Imran, said Sikarwar.

The nabbed accused was identified as Saud Ali (30) of Kabeetpura. He confirmed the name of other gang members involved in the theft of vehicles and confessed that they have stolen several vehicles.

Other nabbed accused were identified as Sharik Hasan (36), Rashid Khan (31), Ezaj Khan (32), Sayeed Kaleem (30).

The main accused Guddu Kabadi alias Imran is still missing. Guddu along with Sharik and Saud used to steal the vehicles and with the help of Kaleem used to punch the registration number of the disposed vehicles on the stolen vehicles.

Saud used to contact vehicles owners who posted their adds of their vehicles and on the pretext of trial of the vehicle they would produce the duplicate keys of the vehicle and later used to steal the vehicle.

Main accused Imran has been arrested for vehicle theft in the past in Bhopal and Indore.
