State Assembly Speaker Niranjan Pujari would meet Governor Dr SC Jamir on Monday at the Raj Bhavan here to discuss about the affairs of the House. Sources said Pujari would meet the Governor at 11 am.
Notably, Congress MlAs had on Friday met Jamir and complained to him that the House was not being run impartially and the voices of Opposition members were being throttled. They sought his intervention on the issue.
Both Congress and BJP members had also boycotted the Assembly for the last two days raising these allegations.
Though it is not known what aspects the Governor would inquire into, knowledgeable circles feel he might examine the Assembly proceedings and if required, go through the visuals of the House proceedings.
On the other hand, officers of the Assembly Secretariat are now busy to establish that all decisions taken by the Speaker were without any flaw.
