The birth anniversary of Independent India’s first Home Minister late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel will be observed as ‘National Unity Day’ on Saturday.
On the occasion, the Government officers and employees will take a pledge of nation’s unity and integrity, officials stated.
The General Administration Department at Mantralaya has issued a circular to all the District Collectors to observe the day with solemnity.
A ‘ Unity Run’ will also be held to mark the celebrations on the event.
Students of schools and collegess, NSA-NCC cadets, Nehru Yuvak Kendras youth, home guards jawans and
several citizens have been invited to the event.
