Boys are considered best in sports, but after a city girl has excelled in skating by winning a number of medals, the girls are no more behind and are ready to compete with the boys. The city girl Komaldeep Kaur has glorified Bhopal’s name in various skating competitions. May it be State or National level competitions, Komaldeep exhibited wondrous performances and has bagged many medals.
The Pioneer in a rendezvous with Komaldeep asked about the mantra of her success at such a young age. Komaldeep says, “I am really happy that I have showcased a good performance at various competitions. It’s just been a year that I have begun participating in tournaments so I believe that my best performance is yet to come.” She added saying, “Of course, participation is important in any tournament, but after so many efforts, winning becomes equally important.”
Komaldeep of grade 10th St Josephs Co-ed School is one of the best female skaters of the city. She has recently bagged a bronze medal at 52nd National Roller Skating Competition held at Virar, Maharashtra. Before, she has won a bronze medal in 60th Inter School National Roller Skating Competition, at Pune, three gold medals at 60th State level Roller Skater Competition held at Gwalior, and two gold medals at CBSE west zone roller skater competition at Rajasthan. “Skating is my dream and I feel really honoured when I am regarded as the first female who represented Madhya Pradesh after 15 years.
