Madhya Pradesh is the first State in the country to formulate its warehousing and logistics policy. As much as 2.35 lakh MT storage capacity has been created in the State following formulation of warehousing and logistics policy in 2012. Besides, capacity of 65 thousand MT is under construction. The State had 11 lakh MT storage capacity in 2012, which has increased to 158 lakh MT including private and government sectors. Most of districts in the State have become self-reliant in storage capacity. Under the scheme of Madhya Pradesh Warehousing and logistics Corporation, 6.67 lakh MT storage capacity has been built in private sector and 7.60 lakh MT is under construction.
