MlA Surendra Nath Singh inaugurated a free eye treatment and cataract operation camp held at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan in Jehangirabad locality. This camp was jointly organised by Sant Nirankari Mission, Bhopal Utsav Mela Samiti and Sewa sadan Eye Hospital.As many as 471 eye patients were diagnosed and treated in the camp out of this 62 patients were identified for their cataract operations. Medicines were also distributed free of cost.
These patients are brought to SSEH for their surgeries on Monday and onwards. Ophthalmologist Dr Sonal Gore diagnosed the treated and the ailment patients, MlA Surendra Nath Singh and SSEH Team garlanded the idol of lord Ganesha and en-lighted the lamp. In the series of Proposed 11th Monsoon Free Eye Camps in Bhopal city, this was the sixth.
Prior to this, five camps had already being organised at Atalram Sindhi Dharamshala, Manas Bhawan, Anandnagar, Misrod and Kolar. BUMS and SSEH have fixed the target to perform 1000 Cataract surgeries of poor patients in these camps. Next camp will be at Idgah Hills on 6th September 2015.
GD Chandani, In-charge of medical department of the mission said that Cataract and Glucoma operations will be performed by Experts of Sewa Sadan Hospital free of cost for the needy patients. All the treatment and medicines will also be provided free of cost.
Nirankari Sewadal volunteers offered their services along with volunteers from Bairagarh at the camp. Basant Gupta from Pharmacy Council, Sl Chug, NP Malviya, Vijay Agrawal, Vice President-Bhopal Utsav Mela Samiti, Sunil Jainawin, Shri Shailendra Nigam, Prashant Saxena, Akhilesh Yadav-Sanchalak Nirankari sewadal were present at the occasion. Free langar was also organised for the patients at the camp site.
