MIS to be introduced in Haryana

Wednesday, 30 September 2015 | PNS | Chandigarh

Haryana Government is all set to introduce management information system (MIS) for streamlining administrative processes in State Education Department to ensure that teaching staff focuses on academics activities only.

Presiding over the 41st meeting of the Executive Committee of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan here, Haryana Chief Secretary DS Dhesi, said that the Government is committed to improve the quality of education provided in the Government schools in the State.

For this, the State Government would introduce management information system, said Dhesi.

He said that while many corporate houses have expressed interest in providing infrastructure in Government schools, their contribution has also been solicited for the quality enhancement programme.  “They can provide their expertise, new learning experiences and help convert normal classrooms into smart classrooms,” said Dhesi.

The Education Department has decided that in the first hour of the school day, teachers would use learning enhancement programme materials that have been specifically created for the programme, with detailed lesson plans. These would cover foundational or critical competencies of previous grades. The material of Math and Hindi have already been printed and supplied to the districts.
