Memorandum submitted against murky deals in Municipal office

For constant irregularities and murky deals in municipal office a group headed by lohardaga Municipal Council vice chairman Subodh Kumar Ray submitted a memorandum to the DC Manjunath Bhajantri here on Monday. The letter described that the executive engineer of council takes all the decisions without assent of the board members. The purchasing of lands had been done by keeping all the rules in side. A total of 17 ward councilors met to the DC and told that the corruption in MC office has been reached to its peak. land is not being purchased from farmers but from mediators and land big wigs. The govt fund is being misused. In purchasing of lED lights, hand pumps, and Jim materials murky deals had been done. The executive officer and chairman have established harmony and ward councilors are not being informed. The group requested the DC to look into the matter minutely and take strict action. DC assured that there would be a meeting with the MC officials. The matters will be discussed and if found guilty, strict action will be taken. In the mandal ward councilors Amiya Kumar Gupta, Arun Verma, Sazzad Khan, Kamla Devi, Pramod Ray and many others were present.
