Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) chief Babulal Marandi has lashed out at the Raghubar Das Government at helm for its inaction on various crucial fronts while in the office for last one year. The former Chief Minister of the State also blamed the incumbent for playing divisive politics and resorting to wastage of public money.
“We have seen grave misrule in the last one year in the State under this Government. No public work for larger benefit of the State has taken place. It is the Government run by bureaucrats who is misguiding one and all,” said Marandi while addressing media persons on Wednesday.
The JVM leader referred to the instances of transfer postings, non-utilisation of budgetary provisions and also alleged it for promoting corruption. “The Government has not been able to formulate even a domicile policy in one year time. They are just busy in making transfers which has taken shape of an industry in Jharkhand. The Government is busy in minting money and using it for gagging the voices of dissent,” he said hinting towards “poaching” on the party’s six MlAs to gain majority of its own.
Marandi also charged the Government for playing in the hands of capitalists who were, he said, “formulating crucial polities of the State for their benefits”. He also expressed displeasure over reported interference coming from the Center. “The Raghubar Das Government has become a puppet in the hands of the Modi Government of Delhi. Policies and decision are being taken based on the directions coming from there,” he went on.
To drive home his point, Marandi cited example of recent poll debacle at lohardaga where the ruling coalition had to suffer a crashing defeat at the hands of the Congress. Though, JVM faired even worse there and had to surrender its deposit in the Assembly bye-election happened in early December.
