In a joint action of district administration and Health Department, sonography machines of 2 private sonography centres of Bhopal have been sealed for violation of PCPNDT Act. On the directives of collector and Competent Authority of PCPNDT Bhopal, surprise inspections were undertaken at SS Diagnostic Centre, Sindhi Colony and Care Diagnostic & Medical Centre, Chhola Naka. CMHO Dr Veena Sinha informed that at SS Diagnostic Centre, MBBS doctors were doing sonography of pregnant women. They were not authorised for it as per rules. At Care Diagnostic Centre, portable sonography machine was found. As per rules, portable sonography machines can be operated only in those hospitals where there is facility to admit patients.
