Chief Minister Raman Singh on Wednesday announced that a livelihood College will be opened for training youth in employment oriented works in Antagarh. On his tour under the ongoing lok Suraaj Campaign, Singh inaugurated and laid foundation stone of 47 construction works worth nearly Rs20 crore in a function organised at Block Headquarters Antagarh of North Bastar (Kanker).

In his address , the Chief Minister made many announcements for development of the area. On the occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated Child Health Programme (Muskan) for children of age upto 14 years that would provide facilities to children suffering from critical diseases would be given free treatment. In the function, Singh distributed tricycles to a few differently-abled children. He said an English medium school will be established and pond beautification work will be carried out. Also, a Capitol Complex will be constructed in Antagarh. For Durgukondul development block, the Chief Minister announced giving approval for establishing Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and beautification of Gadiapahad. The locals demanded from the CM to facilitate 3G and 4G connections in Antagarh area for better telecommunication connectivity.

Singh said in his address to the function that development of insurgency infested tribal populated districts and villages is the top-priority of State Government. Earlier, Singh left Raipur via helicopter for his inspection visit under lok Suraaj Abhiyan. At first, he reached Antagarh, where he inaugurated, and performed  bhoomi-pujan and laid foundation of 47 construction works worth nearly Rs20 crore. This includes 42 new works worth Rs15.33 crore.

Raman also inaugurated five newly-constructed buildings worth Rs4.42 crore. On the occasion, Singh performed Bhoomi-Pujan and laid foundation of pre-matric hostel buildings for 500 tribal girls, to be constructed in Tehsil Headquarters Bhanupratappur and District Headquarters Kanker. Each hostel will have accommodation capacity of 250 persons, and construction cost of about Rs5 crore. In the programme organized at Antagarh, Singh inaugurated Government ITI building, constructed at the cost of Rs2.12 crore in Tehsil Headquarters Bhanupratappur.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has so far toured 16 districts as a part of 'lok Suraaj' campaign in Chhattisgarh till now. He has laid foundation stones, performed 'Bhoomipujan' and dedicated development works worth Rs800 crore. Singh launched 'lok Suraaj' campaign on April 14, the birthday of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar. The campaign was launched to know the pulse of the common masses, to review the development works at the ground-level, to understand the views of the rural populace and to redress the grievances of the people on the spot.

The Chief Minister has till now toured Narayanpur, Bijapur, Kabhirdham, Rajnandgaon, Mungeli, Bilaspur, Korea, Balrampur-Ramanujganj, Surajpur, Jashpur, Surguja, Janjgir-Champa, Raigarh, Kanker, Bastar (Jagdalpur) and Kondagaon districts. He made surprise visits to many villages by Helicopter. Singh launched the campaign in insurgency infested Chote Dongar at Abhujmarh in Narayanpur district. On the same day he visited village Manjhiguda in Bijapur district. Singh on Wednesday also visited Bastar (Jagdalpur) and Kondagaon.
