A ‘Mega Teachers Training Workshop’ kick-started under the aegis of the lions Quest Activity here at the Indian Medical Association House on Friday.
The objective behind organising the programme was to train teachers how to shape teenaged students to be in the right track of the society, said lions District Governor Rabindra Kumar Jena. As the behavioural change in childhood is a natural process, teachers can guide them to build a healthy and beautiful society, he added.
lions International trainer Kolkata-based Manisha Ghanti gave training to the attending teachers.
District Governor Jena was the chief speaker and former Chilika MlA Raghunath Sahu and lions PDG Gopinath Mohanty were present as guests.
Books based on how to change children’s minds towards creative and positive directions were distributed among the teachers. Around 60 teachers from different schools across the State participated in the workshop.
District Chairman Quest lion US Patnaik and Co-Chairman Ratikant Shadhangi, Sumanta Chandra Das and Gajendra Padhi coordinated the programme.
Organised by the lions Clubs International, the programme will conclude on November 1.
