Hitting back at the Congress, the tech-savvy Haryana Chief Minister Manohar lal Khattar on Monday posted a series of tweets, apparently, responding to the Opposition’s allegations against the Haryana Government.The Chief Minister, who is fairly active on social media, posted tweets on corruption and party’s poll promises, the two issues which the Congress has been raising to attack the Manohar lal Khattar’s Government since its formation in October last.
Without referring to anyone from the Opposition, Manohar lal, posted, “The BJP will fulfil all its promises made in the election manifesto. In this regard, work is being done step-by-step.”On the issue of corruption, he posted on Twitter, “To stop corruption, six months are being utilised to improve the system. Public’s support is also important in this issue.“Tedhi ungli se ghee nikalna bhi humein aata hai,” he added probably referring to the strict actions to be taken by the State Government to stop corruption and deal with corrupt officers.In another tweet, he said that in cases of corruption, central vigilance bureau, departmental inquiry, CM’s flying squad… all these options to conduct an inquiry are open.
The tweets came a day after former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda lashed out at the BJP led Haryana Government for not fulfilling its election promises.last month, Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda had started his Jan Sampark Abhiyan from Haryana’s Jind district with an aim to visit every nook and corner of the state to meet dissatisfied residents of Haryana and press the state BJP government to fulfill its election promises.
Hitting out at the state BJP government for not fulfilling its promises made during the Assembly elections, Hooda had on Sunday threatened to launch a crusade against the government if the promises were not fulfilled.He had alleged that the BJP government had betrayed the people by not fulfilling its poll promises even after seven months. Hooda had also alleged that instead of providing jobs, the State Government had been sacking and lathicharging youths.
To this, the Chief Minister posted on Twitter, “In the near future, 50000 recruitments will be done on various posts. Full transparency would be ensured during the recruitment process and deserving candidates will get jobs sitting at their homes.”The 61 years old Chief Minister has been actively utilizing the social media including Facebook and Twitter to share information about various day-to-day events and initiatives of Haryana Government.
Notably, Haryana Congress president Ashok Tanwar had also launched his state-wide ‘Padyatra’ last month to engage with farmers and other sections to highlight the alleged failure of the BJP Government on all fronts in the state.The Manohar lal Khattar’s government is drawing strong criticism from the opposition with BJP failing to fulfill its commitments that it had spelt out in its election manifesto during last year’s assembly poll in Haryana.Contesting the Haryana assembly polls on its own for the first time last year, the BJP had attained a majority by bagging 47 of the 90 assembly seats in the state. Manohar lal Khattar is the 10th Chief Minister of the state, which was created on November 1, 1966.
