A book release function on a historical fiction Kharavela-The Warrior Seeker written by noted author Biswakesh Tripathy was held here on Wednesday.
The book was released by Padma Bhushan Dr Sitakanta Mohapatra, Prof Himanshu S Mohapatra and eminent theatre personality Anant Mahapatra.
The fiction is based on the life of the mighty king Kharavela, who became the most powerful king of Arya dynasty and succeeded in conquering half of Bharat. For 12 years, he went on conquering all the countries around Kalinga. But suddenly his sword came to rest, barely at the age of 34.
Kharavela wanted Sabara deity Jagannath to bring peace among all the creeds and castes of the country.
