A Dalit body on Tuesday alleged before the Baleswar district Collector that Khaira and Simulia SC people are being deprived of social justices by Government officials.
A delegation of Adivasi Harijan Kalyan Samiti, Khaira unit metalleged that the headmistress of Arjunpur UGME School under Palasa GP has misappropriated Government money meant for SC students.
“The Headmistress has taken away stipend money of 20 SC students, including eight girls, for the last two years. Even, students are not being given uniforms,” alleged delegation members.
Similarly, Class X students belonging to the category of the Rustampur High School under Khaira block have not been given bicycle.
They further alleged that a SC minor girl hadbeen impregnated by a person of Talamundi village under the block three months back. Though an FIR had been lodged in the Khaira PS, no action has been taken yet, they alleged. The delegation was led by Madha Mallick, Gajendra Jena, Om Prakash and Ratnakara Das.
