To check the use of unfair means or cheating during examinations, the Jiwaji University has decided to take strict measures. This way, the university has decided to control the examination centres.
Gwalior along with Datia, Bhind, Morena and other nearby districts will have less examination centres. Disputed centres will be omitted from the list and new private college centres will be given to government colleges.
According to sources, in Jiwaji University, there have been irresponsible distributions of examination centres and these centres the notorious for cheating. Colleges have given the centres to the college Directors with their own interests. During this in Gwalior Chambal region there were more than 100 centres and in last examinations the figures reached to more than 120 centres.
Jiwaji University officers were questioned for their working patterns as in Morena, Bhind, Datia the government colleges were ignored and the priority was given to the centres in private colleges. There was a clear instruction from Higher education Department that the centres should be in government colleges on priority basis. After getting satisfied, the exams would be held.
But for their own interest they have ignored these instructions of Higher Education department. To avoid this type of mistakes again, the new Examination Controller Professor DD Tiwari has become alert. He has decided that now the number of examination centres will be brought down from 100. For last several years, the figure of examinations centres was in between 70-80. Now, most of the private college centres will be shifted to government colleges. Only those big new private colleges that have good facility would be considered for examination centres.
