IIM Raipur’s flagship event Equinox 5.0 — the annual business—cum—cultural festival kicked off on Friday here with a great excitement and enthusiasm.The special guests who were present for the opening of the event were Vinod Jaiswal, DGM SBI Bank and Pradosh Kumar Jha, AGM IDBI Bank.The faculties of IIM Raipur including Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Raipur; Dr. Vinita Sahay, Chairperson Fellow Programmes; Dr. Sanjeev Prashar, Chairman Placement and Dr. Ashish Kumar Garg, Chairperson Student Affairs were present on the occasion.

The title sponsor of the event is SBI and the Platinum sponsor is IDBI Bank. And the event is co-sponsored by Union Bank of India, Videocon Telecom, EOS Cinemas, Hettich Exclusive store and Radio Mirchi is their Radio Partner.The business events included a series of simulation games, live case studies and quizzes that tested the fundamental principles from the various spheres of management.

Some of the events were featured as a part of this year’s edition of Equinox are ‘Udyam’- the B-Plan event, ‘Propergy’-a resource management simulation game, ‘Seeker’— an online treasure hunt, ‘Grey Carnage’ — the HR based case study competition, ‘I am legend’— an event where participants had to make crucial decisions under stress, Tarkash- a debate competition.

Equinox 5.0 will conclude with the most awaited event - an enthralling performance by Sunburn- electronic dance music, on  February 1.This year the event is being organized on an unprecedented scale with a bigger budget and more participation than ever before.The various clubs of the college are gearing up to create the most challenging of competitions which will challenge the brains of the best minds of the country on the one hand and will provide unbridled fun to the participants on the other.
