'Hold training for mushroom production'

Collector Reena Babasaheb Kangale visited the Agriculture Science Centre  in Katghora and took stock of the activities going on in the district. She inspected the exhibition hall of the administrative building and farmers training hall and issued necessary instructions.

The Collector inspected the entire area of the Centre and had a look at different types of plants.

The In-charge Programme Coordinator informed Kangale that the Centre had been functioning since 2007 and it was spread over 30 acres of area. As much as 10 acres are used for producing paddy, one acre for horticulture and 10.12 acre for planting different saplings.

The Collector issued necessary instructions for improving workings at the Centre and asked the Programme Coordinator to conduct training programmes for production of mushroom.

The Collector also asked him to establish small unit of inter-cropping model and to apprise farmers with the modern means of farming.
