Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre has issued warning of possible heavy rain at isolated places across the State, particularly along Char Dham Yatra routes, in the next 48 hours from Friday morning.
The Met office has forecast heavy rainfall at isolated places, especially in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Tehri, Pauri and Dehradun districts of Uttarakhand. State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) battalion commandant P Renuka Devi said following alert sounded by the weather department, SDRF personnel deputed on Char Dham Yatra route have been put on alert and they have been given necessary instructions.

Director of State Meteorological Centre, Anand Sharma said light rain/ thunder showers have been reported in mountainous parts of the state on Thursday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 29 degree Celsius and 24 degree Celsius respectively on Friday in Dehradun.
The weather forecast for Dehradun on Friday is generally cloudy sky. One or two spells of rain/thunder showers would occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures were 31.7ºC and 24.4ºC respectively on Thursday.
