Hazaribagh police recover 4 can bombs

Friday, 31 July 2015 | RR Srivastava | Hazaribagh

Hazaribagh police has recovered four live can bombs from Rud village area of Dumron panchayat of Ichak block on Thursday. Each bomb was weighing one kilogram. Two bombs were kept below a small river bridge while the other two were recovered from the forest sides of that road.

After getting information from the villagers Ichak police rushed towards the spot, recovered the bombs and then with the help of district police experts destroyed them in the forest area.

DSP Rural DK Gupta confirmed the recovery of cane bombs. The police is now trying to trace the culprits behind this conspiracy. As per our sources it seems to be an act of personal rivalry because this area of Ichak block has no back history of this type of activity by any banned ultras group.

Ichak source also said that the area is known for illegal stone mining and it seems to be related with the personal rivalry of illegal miners whose business has been closed by the district administration after tough stand taken by Jharkhand High Court.

The rural road and bridge from where the cane bombs were recovered is not so busy so both people and police are looking into the incident as the activity of conspiracy against those whose mines are still going on legally in this area. Police too accepts that they hardly use this path so it is wrong to speculate that the motive was to make explosion to harm them.
