Haryana Archives Department would digitise the entire history of the State so that old historical facts are preserved safely.The State Archives Minister Anil Vij on Thursday presided over a meeting of senior officers of Archives Department and said that all old documents available with people in villages and cities would be collected and they would be digitised.
For this, teams would be constituted in the State. These old historical facts would also help research students, said he.He directed the officers of the Department to prepare a proposal for uplift of the Department and to increase its budget.The Minister said that a State level Museum would be set up in Panchkula in order to preserve documents concerning history of Haryana. The work would soon be started on it after preparing design of the museum. Process to fill up the vacant posts in the Department would also soon be started so that work of the department may not be interrupted, he added.
